But my kids are watching an episode of Psych with one of the main guys from Tears For Fears as a guest. In the background he is strumming a guitar and doing a medly of TFF songes, one of which was Mad World.
Though I was a product of the 80's (High School Grad 1986), I'd never heard the song before until I watched Donnie Darko last year.
So my first experience with Mad World was Gary Jules soothing yet almost haunting version.
Later I heard the TFF original version and was like, WTF...!?
Needless to say I like Jules version much better, and felt it was a far better "fit" for the song.
What do you think?
