Mad Max prop badge on ebay

I came accross this on ebay and couldnt quite beleive what I was seeing, does this look like the real deal?

Love this movie and $40+ for a real prop, got to be too good to be true!
Anybody know anything about the real badges ? I made up some coffee mugs some years ago with the badge on and had a hard time with the graphics for the screen badge.

I would agree, I wouldn't trust anything from Hollywood Prop Supply. If you like it, Buy it because you like the look of it. But i wouldn't expect it to have been used in the film.

I am just a casual observer. I am suspicious of a person with 4 transactions going for the gold with a screen used badge. Especially when all four feedbacks happened in less than 5 days

Although I can understand the back side of the badge being in much better shape than the weathered front, the backside is actually too nice. I would figure a weathered badge like that would have a pin on the back that was slightly bent out of shape, and the paint on the back looks really fresh.

Just guesses.

From casual observations it seems to be quite accurate. After studying MM1 freeze frames it seems to be a good replica. Sadly I don't have access to any photos of the screen used one.
