After attending and meeting so many wonderful people at last weeks prop party, I thought that I should come by more and post. This is the first photo of a kit I'm about to start.

Picked this up awhile back but didn't time to start it. Well I have a bit more time for awhile sooooo today I opened the box up. What you see is two kits. I plan to build them both up at once, keeping one and I'm planning on selling the other one maybe?

This is going to be a fun one.

Nice!

Were those rifles cast in those colors or am I looking at primer?

They were cast in those colors!! I was thinking about putting them together and leaving it like that. LOL They would be, like, far out dude!!

picked that up over at the Propfix forum from the same guy that I picked up this kit I built. When you go there look in the Enterprise Section.

Thanks, I will post pics as the build progresses.

Worked on it some today. If you can see, the top where the body slips on needs the edges removed. At the moment the top is sort of dish shaped and I want it to be flat. Out came the block sander.

This needs to slip down easy so that after it's all painted, when I push it down on to the body, it won't tear up the paint at the body.

Sanded the bodies down and they are looking good!!! However, the cowls have some areas that are going to have to be removed in order for them to slip down over the body like they should. You can see the areas marked in red.

I have an idea on how to solve this, stay tuned.

Ok, a started to use some heavy power tools on this but after much thought I went with a drum sander on my Dremel tool. I simply inserted of end of the base in the cowl and start pushing them together. when it stopped slipping in, I sanded there. Here is a photo of the first one together.

Well I made some more time today for this. Using my Dremel to clean out the groove of the 2nd cowl.

Ok got back to it today

Heres what it looks like with the stock mounted on

In order to get it mounted on, I first had to clean out this area on the body.

Then I had to drill out this area. All I had was a spade bit, but it worked like a champ.

One of the tubes was a bit to long so I marked it off and cut the tubing.

Then, just push it all together

They're starting to look darn cool.
