What a lovely kit the Mauser is but, man, did I wish it could dry fire. Still, a very fun thing to hold and play with after all the work getting the parts together.

• Field Marshall steel scope mount
• Field Marshall steel flash hider
• Field Marshall walnut grips
• Todd's Costumes semi-functional steel scope
• Todd's Costumes steel threaded bull barrel
• Todd's Costumes steel flash hider adapter (modified to have FM flash hider fit)
• Todd's Costumes tomtit engine and piston parts

• Hot blued & Cold blued upper & flash hider
• Hot blued rear sight, trigger, mount knobs, side switch, and safety catch
• Cold blued lower and then painted in satin black
• Grill assembled from memory (so probably highly inaccurate)

(EDIT: It should be noted that in a couple hours after I posted this, I went back and reworked some details on the grill and mystery disk)

Nope, haven't got the tools or know-how to do it and it's already been stamped with Todd's trademark.

What's the best way to finish the walnut grips for the Mauser kit?

I am a fan of linseed oil, darkens them just slightly.

Or full on staining with minwax and using paste wax or spray laquer would be nice

Your kits are amazing! Is the lack of magnifyinbg due to it being hard to source glass elements? I can't imagine it being easy to find them. Optics are obviously expensive. Someday soon, I'll be diving into your steel pieces for a build. I can't wait!
