Lunaman's 2012 Halloween Costume Contest Entry (The Dread Pirate Roberts)

Spectacular work, man! I love love LOVE the results, and thank you so much for all of your kind words here! Now prepare for endlessly tweaking it over the years as new ideas come to you, haha.
Cheers.

Just a word of thanks for all the information, visual aids, suggestions, revisions and general advice you have offered in this. Also appreciate the additional comments of those that contributed to the thread. This become the goal for a costume this year.
Just a quick overview of what I used:
The shirt from ebay, mystique_noire , Medieval Shirt, Laced Up Pirate Reenactment Landlord Knight, a thick jersey type material, from Germany
The pants are from H&M sportswear, skinny pants, ultra skinny legged joggers. (sweat pants material)
The boots for CA Boots, swashbuckler, 20 inches, (I know his were lower) Great customer service in getting this order done.
Belt (2.5") and frog from RenLeather Great products and service
Sword /Rapier from ebay, KnifeKing, Spanish Hero EL CID Rodrigo Diaz Vivar Rapier Sword, not the best match but workable.
Mask from Cimarron Leather in Raleigh NC. He saw yours and we actually liked the depth your mask has with the filled in eyes.
Bandanna from a slightly stretchy fabric, left in 4' X 4' square. The stretchiness really makes a nice workable difference. Makes for a nice full back and ties and makes for a great fit
The sash is a slightly shiny fabric with some texture and sewn in a 9' x 9" tube, closed on each end, wrapped twice around waist, cut so the texture runs with the sash
Gloves had made by Glove City Leathers in NY. They were made for this, buckskin, 7" cuff, 14" circumference as I requested (only $40) I wished I had asked for double layer in the cuffs, I added some black duck tape to make them a little stiffer. Still great dexterity with them. They are made to right size but buckskin has enough stretch a size smaller would have worked great.

So all in all, great stuff you guided me with in the build here!!!

THANKS!!!!!!
