Luigi's Mansion Ghost Vacuum

I covered the bottom of the vacuum attachment in foam to make it a bit safer for the kids.

I made a tread for the wheels with black foam and I also added a sliver foam disc to the middle of the wheels as well.

:)

I've glued a green dome onto the push light. It fits exactly over the push in bit. Couldn't have gone any better.

:)

The vacuum gun part was mainly just a case of making it loosely resemble the original.

First off I added foam to both ends.

I then cut some thinner strips of foam and glued them on to add some detail to the tube.

To create the button on the end I used a 'popular drink company' bottle top and sanded the logo off.

I then decided to add a couple more thin strips of foam.

And here is the finished vacuum gun part.

:)

I had not been looking forward to making the straps. They have took nearly all afternoon.

I had bought 4 cheap belts, some D Rings and some 3 bar slides to make the straps as I wanted them to be adjustable.

Then the moment I had been dreading, loads of sewing.

3 hours later and 4 straps were finished.

:)

I was originally going to attach the straps the to back of the vacuum with P clips and screws. I decided to use nuts and bolts with the P clips for a stronger fix.

:)

Here we are finished at last. 2 toy versions of the Poltergust 5000 from Luigi's Mansion 2 Dark Moon. With lights and sounds.

I have a couple of kids who would love this.....might have to see if I can find one of those toy vacuums, what a great idea! Excellent work.

Could you also link where you got that push light? Otherwise, I think I'm going to go look at our local tool shop. By the way, this is a great tutorial! We ordered a vacuum slightly different to yours, but this is going to help a lot, and make a certain 6 year old very happy!
