I know what I'm doing as my next project. THANK YOU. Looks great.

Best,
DBCooper

PS. Package has been sent to you.

Awesome news! :thumbsup Now I need to go buy a cask - they are hard to find.

A good member here once said that they could be found at places like michaels craft, or pier one stores.

I will need to get one myself, to be able to scale the labels for your displays.

Thanks, For all your support with this project, Bro!

I can only cheerlead from the sidelines. :lol I have no talent.

I looked at Michael's and Ben Franklin Crafts (I think that is a VA only store though). Neither had them.

There's a member here who has one that's perfect, but I believe he told me he got it at a yard sale. It was a cask. EDIT: Here: Post 53 http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=39593&&page=6

You can also try Big Lots and any place that sells planters etc..

I'll let you know where, when I find a stash around here.

Those cigar barrels are tiny.

So are Hobbits :lol

J/K :angel

This has me wondering..there were two sizes of most props made for the movie, for the forced perspective shots...so, I wonder what would be the correct small scale for the barrels? as opposed to the full size props? :confused

I'd say a full-sized barrel. Not hobbit sized in the hands of a man. If that makes sense.

Yeah, that makes sense..but, How big would the correct Hobbit size barrel be?
1/3rd the size of a 1:1 pipeweed barrel?

I would guess 1/3 to 1/2.

Lemme see if my Google Fu is strong.

Ok, according to Wikipedia, Hobbits are 3'6" tall to a Human's 6ish feet. Call it 6 feet tall. That'd make the hobbit scale a shade over 1/2. 7/12 at a horseback estimate.
