I wanted to show so of my works in progress . I'm bad about not showing anything until I'm finished or just not all , but I want to get better.
The back story on this is m, I am a huge animation fan overall. Have collected Cels/model sheets for years along with my autographing. A few months ago i started going through all the Looney Tunes and doing captures of everything I want to make from them. There is a ton to do.
Somehow i am more drawn ( no pun intended) to animation props and making them real. Since we moved last year I lost my studio space and had to go back into the computer and do more none traditional work instead of sculpting and painting.
These props , along with my cards , Superfriends, and NCIS items are all in process...about 100 projects at once it seems. I can't work on one thing.
These are all my printing proofs/mockups I am correcting or playing with. all of them will be offered here and/or evilbay to fund my larger toon projects. Most of these are from Wile E. Coyote toons that have about 40 items I am working on . Acme packaging , his blueprints and of course his business card. Here's some explanation on the images.
1. Iron Carrot - classic Wile E. prop..got the box almost completed then I'm sculpting the carrot to cast.
2. Small mock-ups for folding on some of his ACME packages. They will all be sized either cereal box or smaller depending on item.
3. One of Wile E. Coyote's business cards . This was about three fonts merged together with some shade work.
4. He had several blueprints. these will be 36 by 24" when finished printing . I want to do them with traditional blueprinting , but waiting to see where to get it done.
5. The " Seasons" posters will be 18 by 24" and feature what you see. Still tweeking and playing with them.
6. Roadrunner diagram. From one of my favorite shorts. Wile E. Explains the makeup of the roadrunner . This was captured and redrawn with text added. will be 18 by 24 " when printed.
last image is the letter/envelope from a Marvin episode. It will be printed on arches/heavy paper with was seal on the exterior as in the cartoon. The signature was drawn and redrawn to get it as close as possible.
Animation props are very inconsistent with fonts and sizing so it's challenging to get the right feel for the prop. ( like the " 9" is not correct enough for me yet)
much more to come....stay tooned.
