Looking for TIE Fighter Pilot Helmet...where to purchase?

How about the MonCal helmet?
Where do you find these helmets?

Keep in mind I need a helmet ASAP, like in the next two weeks because of a video I'm directing. If anyone knows where I can find one in that time frame, I would really appreciate it!

Thanks again guys for your help on my hunt for this awesome looking helmet. :)

If you need an accurate looking helmet fast and at a great price, I'd say jump on Jarvis's large helmet run if you can! They look awesome! Quite a bang for your buck! I want one myself!

The moncal, laws and Rs props versions will be more work as you will have to trim and assemble.

Also more expensive.

If I could pick only ONE and price wasn't an object... I would have to go RS. Great stuff coming from them. From very provenant castings... You need to read up and figure out what works for you.

All of the above are great in there own rights!

Have you visited http://starwarshelmets.com ?

Where could I find a styrene kit for the helmet minus the faceplate?

I have a few extra trooper faceplates lying around..

Jarvis, I'm brand new to this forum. I actually joined trying to get in contact with you. I am very interested in buying one of your tie helmets. And I was looking for details. Hopefully you'll see this and contact me.

RS Propmasters are very, very expensive indeed, I am making a mould for these helmets and the materials are not that expensive their mark up is ridiculous.

I'm looking for a TIE helmet and am torn between the Anovos and RS. The Anovos should be cheaper but not by a great deal after postage/charges etc, their stuff does look alittle idealized too. I'm waiting to judge the quality of my RS Scout before I commit to another big ticket purchase with them.

Hello Jarvis, I've been trying to get in touch with you, I'd like to buy one of your large helmets. If you see this or anyone that knows how to get a hold of jarvis to let him know I'm interested I'd appreciate it.

The RS Tie is the only Tie helmet with correct size and details out there. And yes...the original helmets looked that bad too. No helmet for fans of sanitized prop stuff.

Fenixprops also sells one. Not certain if it is accurate. Looks to be a recast of something because of the embedded Imperial logo on top. This one is made out of fiberglass.

Except of coarse for the Don Post Classic Action. I just recently scored one of these after doing much research. I suppose was considered for a long time the "holy grail" and I can see why. IMHO, Perfect for someone like me who wants close to screen accurate as possible while "cleaned-up/sanitized/idealized version." Made in 1997 and official licensed.

Now my "Ultimate Star Wars helmet collection" can be complete with "cleaned-up/sanitized versions" and all still licensed pieces. DPCA Tie, Rubies Vader, EFX Stormtrooper and the recently released Target Boba Fett! Some custom mods required of coarse...;)

Is there more than one version of the Don Post TIE? I thought that the one Rubies is selling came from the Don Post moulds?

i think the don post deluxe and classic action helmets were ( accurate in size ) but the rubies are using the smaller don post moulds ( standard )

There were three DP TIE Helmets: Standard, Classic Action, and Deluxe. You can see information on all three here:

That is my understanding as well.

Ah. I guess you have to be careful when purchasing this stuff second hand off eBay then. Thanks for the info.
