Hello all! I am new here, so first let me say hello!

I am looking to get some prop replicas for my "Nerd-Cave", for starters looking to get a screen accurate Christopher Reeves "walking" cape. Any info on who anyone making these, or photos of the actual capes would be great appreciated. IDid find a few pics online of the padding on the collar, but that was about it. I also looked all over ebay, and I cant find the proper "S" shield for the back either. Am I the only one who thinks that cape is worth owning??

I do know there is a Ebay Seller who makes Reeve version costumes and they may be willing to make you a cape, I'm sure someone will chime in with the correct info , I just can't remember their name.

Just make sure you don't buy from that guy in Florida who always claims to have original costumes from the Superman movies, I believe his name was Armando Alvarez or something similar (Correct me if I'm wrong guys...).

to learn about what is accurate etc, go here:

This is THE site for knowing what is real and how the original was done etc. Be VERY careful about those that say it is screen accurate. It really depends on how anal u want to be. A good copy can be done that is not "screen Accurate" but still nice.

I almost got duped into one of those! He had a "screen used superman 2 cape" on ebay a few months back I was watching. I asked him about it in a PM and he told me that it was used in superman 3 during a walking scene. First off, he got the movie wrong, second no COA. From what I have read and seen on TV, they kept the capes and reused them in the movies. The supergirl cape was actually a cut down supes cape.

Aquaman, did you post a link? I couldn't find one

Might want to correct your thread title to say Reeve, not Reeves, lest people offer you pics of the 50s TV show version. ;)

that DC direct cape is not meant to be a "movie style" cape, just another "trophy". Not based on anything other than a artists idea.

I know that, it was only ment as a suggestion/alternative if he didnt find any other cape. :)

I did see the "trophy room" cape and its pretty cool. Right now I am hunting the motion picture style though

Did you see the jokers cane? That was awesome!

there are many people on the Super Hero boards that make all of these props and pieces better than DC could ever dream of doing! Check out the "SCF" Superhero costuming forum
