Hey everyone,
i'm looking for the trim on the stormtrooper helmet. does anyone know what it's called and where i can buy in bulk?

You can buy the proper stuff from somewhere in the UK, i havent got the link with me, but they sell all sorts of rubber trims.

Im sure theres a thread already with this information. The lower trim around the neck is an 'S' shape i believe, and they also sell the 'U' type brow trim.

A quick search turned up this info (it´s from the Junkyard, which you can´t access atm, but I am sure that there are other threads on this as well, just took the first one that had info in it ;))

Re: Need simi-accurate stormtrooper helmet neck trim
I would reccomend getting the US52 for the brow trim and SWR149 for the neck trim, the 150 is too large.

Product #US161 or US52 for the brow and SWR150 for the neck apparantly

UK company.

This was found on the Stormtrooper detachment forum. Head there for excellent Stormtrooper building info.

does anyone know of a cheaper alternative? i like this one because of the aluminum core. you can shape it to fit the contours of the helmet.

I've used Model No. 8507K63 from McMaster Carr (mcmaster.com). It is close to what you see using the Seal Direct S Trim but it just doesn't have the return part up inside the helmet.

Is that really rubber? It looks to me like black foam glued to a vinyl backing that is sown onto the helmet styrene. I say this because it looks like it's flat black up to the sew line and then gloss black from there. Is that a screen accurate helmet?
