Copper9, I hope my tutorial helps and that you make some realy cool stuff. ferric chloride IS wildly overpriced. A gallon of acid is $8 and 32 oz peroxide can be found at the dollar store. So for $16 you have 3 gallons of etchant, or you can buy 16 oz Ferric Chloride for $12, but that's a rant for a different day, and a different thread. I'm always available if you need help through the process - also in a different thread
Looking at my old scans/tracings, I'm not happy with the size of the trim holes on the Priapus face.
I'm going to size them a little larger and re-post them. Probably tonight or Monday morning; in the same three formats.
I know this is a long shot, but would anyone happen to have a copy of the vectors Copper9 had posted on this thread? I had stumbled across them last year in my attempt to make a Hellraiser box using my Silhouette Cameo machine. My first attempt turned out pretty decent and I had gifted it to a friend for Christmas, however, I now want to make one for my boyfriend for his birthday and have unfortunately lost my saved files(laptop died and had no backup). Now, when I got to this thread the image appears to have disappeared. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated!
Here's a pic of my first attempt, and now that I've worked out the details I hope to make an even better one! It was made using a simple wood block from Michael's craft store, most likely made from balsam or pine panels glued together, it's not quite to scale, as it's 3 and 1/2 inch by 3 and 1/2 inch, stained mahogany, with gold foil sticker paper for the panels, and then sealed. This pic is from before I sealed the box.
