The more I work on this mask, the more I realise the extent to which the hockey mask must have been modified. It's completely different.

I'm almost there now though, but it's a lot more work than I expected.

The eyes are the only part i'm leaving in, they can be modified at a later stage.

For those who are interested, the Death Mask is coming along very well, but it's been a LOT harder than I ever imagined.

When I started doing it, I was under the impression it was just a case of filling in the holes that weren't needed and a bit of sanding.

What has actually happened, is that i've practically re-sculpted the entire mask from the brow down, because the movie mask is just so different from the original goalie mask.

But it won't be long now, i've got the profile almost identical.

Are you planning to change the shape of the eyes.

A big part of the look of that mask is the reverse "sad" droop of the eyes.

Think about it.
