LO-LA59/Lola from Kenobi build

Hello! I'm still working on a sabine cosplay but as that's not finished yet and I got bored yesterday I figured I'd make a different first post here. Originally I wanted to make WAC from clone wars but I simply don't have anywhere to put a life size pit droid :( so I settled for one of my other favorite droids that happens to be adorably small enough to fit on my prop display wall. Having completed this I now think it would be really awesome to make a motorized version since this is pretty much just a display model.

Printed with this file from thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5418358, switched the antenna to be a piece of filament for strength and ease of printing. I forgot to get any process photos but I printed it out of PLA, put a very thick layer of filler primer and sanded it (admittedly I should have done another coat and sand but I got impatient haha), painted with golden matte acrylics and molotow liquid chrome with liquitex gloss varnish, and cut up some old containers for the lenses that I am very glad to have finally found a use for. If you make this I'd recommend making the holes in the middle ring bigger before you print because it was quite tricky to thread both pieces correctly... I may or may not have used superglue for two of the holes. (I think its 20mm M3 screws if I remember correctly). The LEDs are wired very simply, both positive leads connected to the positive wire on a basic coin cell battery pack and both negative leads connected to the negative wire. I think I need to get a new battery pack at some point because only way to fit it in requires a toothpick to slide the switch through a small hole on the underside. It is surprisingly bright even in daylight, maybe a little too bright so I am considering adding a resistor.

Welcome to the forum!
Nice to see a finished Lola! I printed the parts for one myself, but haven't gotten around to building it yet.
