Holy crap, this is one of the best Link outfits I've seen. You GOTTA provide a walkthrough of how you put everything together when you get a chance! I'm especially curious about the green tunic, and the off-white undershirt. Did you sew those yourself, or were they commissioned? I also love those boots, and the leather bracers! Did you make those yourself? Aagh, so many questions. I recently decided to start making my own chainmaille, and now I'm inspired to make a Link outfit to go along with it!

haha thanks :D I made half of the outfit, the knitted chainmail was made by another person, but i'll try to get a proper one ^^
All leather parts was made by a leather craftperson ^^! As I didn't have any tools for this /:

You definately should have the ouftit going along the chainmail haha, this would be so badass :p!

Emma,
your costume looks wonderful. I've been a long time Zelda fan and your pictures brought back some great memories. Everything looks sharp and spot on. Would like to see it more images.

best,

Awesome. Would love to see more detailed photos of the green tunic and under shirt, if you ever get an opportunity to take any!

Superbe ! Etant fan de Zelda, je trouve ton cosplay très réussi, avec beaucoup d'objets qui apportent énormément à l'ensemble.

Special mention to the lonlon milk bottle, it reminds me of so many things :)

haha Thanks! I will in April, my costume stays in france at the moment!
I should be able to take pictures of the entire outfit (with me in it) this summer ;D

Merci beaucoup! Ca fait depuis un moment que je travaille ce costume, et je commence enfin à y voir la fin xD!

Thanks :D The bottles were fun to make!

This is looking great!

I definitely second the suggestion to look at aluminium rings if you do decide to make the chainmail. It's so much lighter, and doesn't tarnish the way mild steel does. And it's also a LOT easier to work with! I can't knit steel (my hands aren't strong enough) but I can do aluminium.

Yeah I was actually thinking of aluminium, it will be much more easier haha
I just feel I won't be patient enough for this though xD

I have friends who do it while watching TV and stuff like that.

Good luck with it, if you decide to do it! It's not too difficult, just time-consuming!
