Lindberg Jurassic Park T-Rex

Here's a Linberg Jurassic Park T-Rex I recently built. I used Aves Epoxy Sculpt on the seams around the legs, arms, head and tail. It's basically built out of box except for the arms which I shortened and angled inward. I airbrushed Tamiya acrylics on the body. The mouth is painted with Testors Acryl Insignia Red lightened with flat white and dry brushed with white and black. I sprayed Future on the mouth and put some Future on the eyes.

For the base I brushed on some flat clear Testors Acryl and poured embossing powder on top to give a rough texture. It's painted Testors Acryl Neutral Gray, Tamiya Medium Gray and has some white and black misted on.

This is an underrated kit. It's not the Horizon kit but it's not bad looking and does resemble the T-Rex from Jurassic Park.

It's always nice to see something a little different from the norm around here. The skin looks very believable. Seeing this has rekindled memories I have of building a dinosaur kit many, many years ago. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice, but if you were going to fiddle with the arms, you should have gone step further and faced the palms inward (facing each other) so it's more anatomically correct. Both Dromaeosaurs (raptors) and Tyrannosaurs couldn't hold their hands in the kangaroo pose and could only face each other like they're clapping. Still, verynicely done.

Thanks for the nice words!

Riceball - This was a quick build so I didn't put much time into modifying it. I'm happy with the results.

Hey - Built the same one with my sons when they were little - Almost 20 years ago now! - Memories....
