You could try making it initial out of milliput or other modelling clay and then pressing it into a tray of cornstarch, I don't know how it will react to hot sugar but it holds up quite well against gelatine.

What I don't know how to do is make the mold and remove the pills from it cleanly. Is it possible to buy a mold the same shape as the pills in the movie? If so, where?

I doubt you will find a ready made mold, but it's easy enough to make a food safe silicone mold, it's just not real cost effective unless you have another use for the silicone...

I found a bag of plastic tablets at Michaels. I think they were supposed to be decorative thing or something. They weren't accurate but in a baggie you wouldn't really be able to tell. If I see them again I'll snap a picture.

I recently stumbled across this site ( NZT ONLINE ) and thought it best to give people a heads-up. This site seems like a scam for numerous reasons. First and foremost, NZT is a fictional drug from a fictional movie, so it couldn't actually be sold (or can it?). Secondly, there are no terms and conditions. There are also a numerous amount of typos. Knowing the world we live in, someone will be gullible enough to believe this mess, so I thought I'd give my piece and let you know you should stay away from it.

The pills to me look like those little clear rubber "feet" that you stick on the underside of statues to keep the piece from scratching your furniture.

I believe some that received the promo packets have stated they where breath mints or at least a mint candy...

Here's what I found at Michael's. On second look, not as good as I wanted them to be so I didn't buy them. But they do kind of look like little pills.

So while rummaging through old boxes, I came across a tin of mints. After thinking about it, I believe that they look very similar to the pills in the movie in both shape and size. I think I'll make a mold of them and make some clear ones. Thoughts?

You need 4mm clear acrylic and cut with laser 8mm diameter

First I want to say that I know nothing about making props but I really hope to soon. Second, I found this tutorial on how to make candy jewels and they are crystal clear. It would be perfect for NZT props if you can make the mold.
