I'm not sure if you've seen this, but it has a couple of photos in it that I've not seen before. Plus it has some cool info on building the beast.

The main body is starting to take shape:
The toes are nearing completion:
The gun pod prototype is almost ready to mold:
I made good progress on the ammo box prototype:
I had the video guys in the shop on Friday to shoot the next installment. It should include a quick tutorial for making simple silicone block molds.
So this thing is really looking like it'll come together:

Loved that latest video. Thanks for documenting this build. As to your choice of the color pink because it seems to annoy people, brilliant.
By the way, the picture of the gun pod with the guy standing behind it, I know it's forced perspective but it makes the part look HUGE.

Dude, I love to see people THINK BIG. I've been throwing around the idea of building a robot similar to the Fleischer Superman animated cartoons and putting him in the front of the house as a "watch dog". The other is a full size Monolith in the back yard as a water feature when we re-landscape. This is just stellar. Can't wait to see the end results. You go dude!

My girlfriend says it's ugly and I'm not allowed to build it. Besides, I'd much sooner build one of these:
But not until after I'd built one of these:
Which I won't even begin to comtemplate until I've finished one of these:
Yesterday some progress was made on the next chunk of the upper leg:
And I smoothed out this little detail part for the big hydraulic rams to attach to:
I've got the gun pod all waxed up and ready to mold:
Finally, there's a couple more silicone rubber molds for a few of the smaller details:
More progress today, stay tuned...

Any chance of making a functioning hybrid ED-209 / AT-RT as a means of transport (weapons optional)? Bet that would turn a few more heads than spinning rims and 'bling' on your 'wheels'.
