Hello,
First and formost, a huge thank you to the love of my life.
This is her first effort at painting and putting in eyes in any prop.

She truly hit the mark on this.

She also wants to become a member and loves my collecting this stuff.

Woo-Hoo!

She wants an airbrush set up now to paint more. Truly has a natural talent and flair. As a kid she used to have picture she had done in the
Seattle Art Museum too!

I have planty of projects lined up to keep her busy. (I told her be careful what you wish for. I will direct her to one of you that could take her underwing as she wants to try sculpting. I believe she has the talent.
How does she start? Sculpty clay? craft store for basic tools? Lazy susan for being able to rotate subject? :confused

anyway...
:eek:eek:eek
HEREs SPOCK!!!!!
The only addition is to put him on a full mannequin and going to have a molded arm up and hand in the "Live long and prosper" hand sign to top it off.

I welcome your thoughts and wisdom.
Last word to my baby... GREAT JOB TERI! I LOVE iT!:love:love:love

As far as sculpting goes just get some decent clay (I'd suggest anything in Chavant's NSP line preferably Medium) and some sculpting tools (can use almost anything) and hit the ground running. And lots of reference.

How do I get ahold of Chavants? Website? or ??

Spocktackular. :cool

As a rather too-enthusiastic Trekkie myself :lol I will point out that you might check out Roddenberry.com for accurate "Wrath of Khan" style uniform parts such as belt buckles and insignia

The Starfleet 1701st is a great resource for Star Trek uniform research and questions

For my money these uniforms (commonly called the "Monster Maroon") look their best in "Wrath of Khan": very sharp and crisp and on-model (they get pretty sloppy in later films and when reused in TNG)

Note the style is much like a suit jacket, particularly in the constructed shoulders and sleeves.

When you pose the jacket and tunic, make sure the neck of the jacket comes all the way to the neck of the tunic as that's how Spock wore his. Most fan jackets leave a big gap between jacket and tunic at the front neck.

I gotta say, I'm very jealous. I have plans to do exactly what you're doing, but haven't found a good material to use for the patterns yet.

Dave :)

Looks great Tom! Buy yourself a kit like the one Rylo posted to use with the pointy finger thing for Terminator2 ,and cast your own hand.

Looks good.
I have a much more accurate WOK jacket Id be willing to sell/trade if you are interested (it doesnt fit me any more) but its a captains jacket and very well done.

Eerie, but it looks just like this guy I knew in hgh school . . . Phil.

Other than the pointy ears and plucked eybrows, it's Phil. :lol

Great uniform, BTW.
