Lid Hinge/Support Suggestions? (for landspeeder engine)

I'm tricking out a landspeeder engine to have a lid that opens to reveal the engine parts inside. It will be hinged on one side and close with magnets on the other. I'd also like have some kind of "hinge" or support that lets me open it an leave it open without it slamming closed or flopping wide open in the other direction. Something that will keep it open, ideally, in whatever position I leave it in. Make sense? I have an image in my head but frankly I don't know how to describe it or Google it.

Ikea sells some wall cabinets that have these need little Ferrari logo hinges that do what you're describing. We have 4 cabinets mounted on our wall horizontally, and can open the doors and they stay in whatever position we leave them in.

Unfortunately I don't remember the faux-swedish name they had. I do recall the doors and cabinets being sold separately, so the hinges would have come with the doors.

If you have an Ikea nearby finding them in store wouldn't be hard, but online... ugh.

I know exactly the cabinets you're talking about. They come in red and other colors, and they mount them over couches in their showroom. Thanks! I wonder if I can get the hinge on its own. Maybe as a replacement part.

Thankfully, an Ikea opened in Tampa about 30 minutes away in May!
