Licensed Ghostbusters Prop News?

The pictures you're talking about were not from the movie's prop studio. They were from the rental company that made, rented, & retired the original. The same company also made the Giga Meter and a few of the more obscure props from GB2.

Then what the hell was the PKE Meter made for originally?

It very well could have been made specifically for the movie by the contract rental company, but the prop itself was not made by the Columbia Property Dept.

Missed this thread the first time. A licensed trap WOULD be pretty amazing, but the price point couldn't break the bank. I think that is the problem with GB props in general. Making anything that complex would certainly require considerable dough.

It was a generic movie prop, there might have been some GB hints or direction while it was being made (I don't know if anyone had identified it's use and existence or rental before GB) either way it was made by an outside rental company, not the GB franchise... As said the pictures you see are from the outside prop company, not the GB franchise...

It was made by Modern Props and they make all sorts of crazy 'generic' props that are not movie specific, that is their business and they are still in it...

If you visit their site and look at the 'Hand Props' category you will see all sorts of 'do-dads' you can rent for your movie that are in the same type of category that the PKE would have fallen into...
