Leonard Nimoy to no longer don the pointy ears!

I wonder what the psychological compulsion is that compels skinny guys to admire the obese female physique. My brother's unit in the army was just chock full of guys that met that psychological compulsion.
I don't know that I'd call it a compulsion; more a matter of personal taste. When I was able to get them to stop all the macho posturing and b.s., most of the guys I've discussed this subject with over the years admitted they'd rather be with a woman who was overweight than a woman who was underweight. In the immortal words of Sir Mix-A-Lot, "I like big b*tts and I cannot lie, you other brothers can't deny..." :cool

Back to the topic, Nimoy's 79 years old. How many of you want to still be working at that age? Besides, I'm sure he still gets some decent income from residuals, sales of his photographs and books, etc.. I don't think he'd even consider retirement if he needed money. His career in acting has been "long and prosperous", he should enjoy the time he has left.

My thoughts exactly.
In a short while, he will be 80!!
Think of it that way...

Plus, as he said, it's time to let the new guy have a crack.

He's 79 years old and not in great health. My husband provided security for him during Emerald City ComiCon this year and he was NOT moving very quickly. He's an old man after a long-time smoking habit and he's just not as strong as he used to be. I helped form part of the phalanx that escorted him out to the car after he received his cash for the weekend's work and he definitely looked pretty haggard and ready for a nap.

He's probably tired in general and ready to just sit back and actually enjoy some of the money he's made for a while. I'd say he's earned it.
