LED and servos for 1:24 scale model

Hi everyone!

My apologies if this had been covered before, but I'm interested in installing some LEDs in a scale model car for lighting effects. Headlights, taillights, and cockpit. I'm also looking at the possibility of installing a small motors to automatically open the doors. Added difficulty: I would prefer if the lights and motors could be controlled wirelessly, by Bluetooth or otherwise. Where would be a good place to start?

I should also mention that I'm not planning on installing this in the target model to start, as this particular model is no longer made, and I'm spending a small fortune on eBay to buy up as many kits as possible. I'll start testing on other, current models first. I apologize for not naming the target model, but you know how it is, wanting to keep secrets and all.
