This is the kind of artistry that I LOVE!! When art deviates from the norm just enough to cause folks to look.
This Studio Scale Klingon D7 was inspired by the “never done” Star Trek Phase II series. They were the precursor ships to the TMP K’Tinga in the fact that they had PAINTED panels instead of the raised panel armor of TMP. Of course Richard painted this more K’Tinga-like than the original Phase II paint scheme, but the original idea remained true to that never aired series. I am VERY proud to show it!!
As you can see, Richard did a wonderful job with this beastie. I especially LOVE the metallic “sheen” he made with the paint he specially mixed for this piece.
