Well,.. after sending this challenged kit to David,.. he sent me pics of his build and rescue process of this DeSanto Viper Kit that Michael Miles created.
David,.. your skills are appreciated.
David told me that nothing fits well becuase nothing is straight. He had to do some major adjusting so that it at least be displayable as an example of a "series idea that never came to fruition". Plus it places yet another Viper design on display.
These are some progress pics....
... and this is a paint scheme example we chose to have him replicate for it's final appearance...
Now,.. Michael never sent me the fourth Viper he had been paid for. He said he was going to build it up and then just ... didn't. That said,.. I am officially letting it go. And with THAT said,.. I wish Mr Miles the best of luck on any future endeavors. I imagine he learned much with this project. And so did many others,.. like myself. :unsure
I have a feeling I received more than most out there.
For this build,.. David still wanted a kit of this DeSanto Viper (even after some poor encounters with Michael), and I had three,.. so he did this "rescue" build in trade for one of them (even though he knew there condition from my clear macro shots I posted of them in the DeSanto thread)... Thank You David.
The other went to Bob (Hand Solo). I imagine we'll see something from him on this someday as well, if he decides to take it off his shelf...lol He had a few choice words for this kit that I cannot repeat here...lol.
Anyway,.. David shot these pics to me this evening of his wonderful progress. I am both amazed (that it could've ever come out so well) and pleased. As stated before,.. I well appreciate his skills.
Bottom line is that I would have never imagined this kit could've come this far. But David made it possible.
David,.. Thank you again my friend. You are quite the model talent.
