I'm starting a new costume after the holidays...I have about 4 or 5 possibilities some quite a bit more expesive than others, so...I'm trying to weight out cost and time to make my choice before I get started.
My question is I've seen kronen costumes on ebay for $600. But I am 5'11 195lbs. It stated the costume was for a thinner person,
Just curious have we ID'd the jacket, gloves, shirt and anything else he had on in his nazi uniform?
And where to get it?

Some of the items I've seen offered on the bay are pretty inaccurate, however some are spot on.
For a completely accurate costume you'll need-

- Black leather postwar East German officers boots. They must be officers and not enlisted mens boots as the leather quality and the fit are different. About $60.

- Black leather breeches and tunic set. These were a completely fabricated item and would have to be custom-made. There are occasionally some good ones on ebay but sizes and quality do vary a lot so I would advise that you look into your local leather stores or tailors and ask about having one run up.
Or alternatively there are a lot of fetish companies that specialise in leather uniform piecies and do perfect, high quality copies of this uniform. $120+

- Officers leather overcoat. There are some awesome ones available for good prices right now but there are also some horrors for a load more. An accurate good quality one will be about $200+

- SS officer silver parade buckle and belt with cross strap. A good replica for about $50-80.

- Black officer service shirt, again another made item althoug so little of the @#$%. is seen that only the neck need be worn and a period pattern could be used $10+

- Iron cross (2nd class) poss with oakleaves will get back to you on this one, but good copies are available for about $12 alternatively I've got a copy I may part with. Pm me.

-Black leather officer's gloves. unfortunately I have no leads on these but am looking. $15??

-Black officers cap, Allegermaine SS OFFICERS cap (not generals) with white piping and Silver cord with early 1942-44 insignia. Order large you'll be waring a helmet. I know a superb supplier of these and He'll do u perfect one with insignia and a real silver cord for around $80

-Mask and undersuit, again I have little info on this as I didnt get that far on my own costume. I'm sure someone else here will be able to point you in the right direction though

There are nice sets of the swords going on ebay at the moment for the $60 mark.
I would remember and keep $30-50 spare for extra insignia, buttons, etc as these can make or break this piece. The most important thing I can say is - STAY AWAY FROM PLEATHER.... It looks terrible and if you wear it for more than 15 minutes at a time it smells like death's gym shoes and nothing will shift that.

Its quite possible to put the whole lot together for around the $600 mark and It'll be spot on giving u a bit more freedom for sizing and accuracy than a premade set.

If u want any info on the sources of these items just PM me and I'll look it up. Thats all I can think of at the moment but if there's anything else I can remember I'll pop in and add it. :thumbsup

Check online for the SS items as they are pretty commom such as the peaked cap and all. There is an outfit called South Beach Leather in Florida that puts out a black leather SS uniform jacket thats not really correst but it's not bad for $130.00 :cheers :thumbsup Merry Xmas

actually, with the exception of the insignia, iron cross, dagger, and pistol belt with the ss belt buckle, none of kroenens uniform was "official" ss or wehrmacht uniform pieces. for one thing, the ss never had a black leather uniform.

i would have to look at the stuff when i get back home to be able to tell you what clothing brands were used, but if youre talking about his nazi uniform, his shirt is just a black button down shirt, the boots look to me like they might be riding boots, his overcoat is just a leather trenchcoat... it doesnt even have the correct pebbled metal buttons that the german uniforms had on them, and the hat was made by a company called aksana. i think the only real custom parts of his outfit were the breeches and the officers tunic.

ilsa's nazi uiform was put together in a similar fashion, mostly from found pieces of clothing.

i forgot that i had taken a few pics of the uniform parts a while back... so heres what i have right now

screen used hat sitting on my sideshow mask, and the hat label.

a pic of his boots, i doubt they are east german officers boots, as the heels have "biltrite" on the bottom

Thank for your help in the past bud. Mine is almost complete. Just need to get a more accurate trenchcoat.

I'll take some pics on my next test fitting & post up.
