Knife from Ex Machina

IMG_1735.JPGThis is the best image I could get. I've searched extensively and can't find any info. The knife that is used at the end, does anyone know which brand and/or model it is? There's a point earlier in the film where the servant is preparing some food and I think the same knife might be used then as well. Not knowing much about kitchen cutlery, I'm guessing it is a Japanese knife, perhaps one used for sushi. That's all I've got. If anyone has any more insight I'd love to hear it. Thanks

Had a look at the Blu-Ray myself (so I could see it without the screen's BGR elements from your pic). Judging from the logo and the writing I could make out ("VG-10 33 Layers Damascus" and "Made in Japan"), I'm guessing it's one of these Suncraft Senzo knives, possibly the Sashimi knife:

Edit: the image of the same knife posted on Amazon looks more like the one in the film (much lighter details in the hammer marks and fold lines):

Awesome, thank you very much!!! I only have access to the version on Amazon Prime, and although I have a 4k television, the markings aren't clear enough to see that much detail. Thank you thank you thank you!!!

Nice find. Looks perfect to me. I like the knife too, it's got that hand-hammered finish at the top and then polished damascus (technically pattern welded) on the bottom half. Nice contrast.

Dope
