Killer Croc costume

So I've decided to build a Killer Croc costume for Thought Bubble in November. This is my first costume build (excluding ones where you throw a few clothes together that look similar). I really don't want to spend a lot of money on this as I don't have it to spare, what with a wife, 2 kids, mortgage etc.
As I go through the build I'll keep a track of cost, what I've used that I already have, and plenty of pictures of what I'm doing. That last bit's a lie. I have no Idea what I'm doing, I'm making it up as I go along with nothing but a picture of K.C. and a vague plan in my head. SO here goes. Starting with the mask I have loads of foam camping mats that were attacked by mickey and his pals over the winter so rather than throw them out they're going to be the bulk part of my build. I don't have a model head so I'm using a rugby ball to work on, get a basic shape and start adding foam.

Materials used: Foam & Hot glue
Cost: £F.A.

That's it so far, comments, ideas and help all welcome.

looking forward to this and I am assuming Thought Bubble in Leeds? you a fellow UK cosplayer? ...

I want this to happen soooooooooooo bad :O I always thought that it would need to be sculpted (like a predator costume) but you never know. Instead of EVA foam, you may want to look into the same foam these guys used to make a sanghelli: kre8ting the elite costume - YouTube

It may be a lot better to work with and make the extreme proportions right (unless that's the same you are using...). Just a thought. You got one subscriber for the courage anyway ;)

That's super duper ambitious. Good luck sir.
In past creations made of nice flexible foam like your pink stuff, I've had good experiences painting it with latex to make a great, shiny, flexible skin. Unfortunately latex can be a bit expensive, so what's your plan on skinning the foam?
