Kick Ass 2 costumes

I just stumbled on some pictures of Jim Carrey in Kick Ass 2 and led me to wonder if anyone here is planning on has started a KA 2 costume. Most everybody from the first movie have returned; Hit Girl, Kick Ass, and Red Mist who is now called Mother F*cker. Kick Ass' costume looks the same but both Hit Girl and MF have new or revised costumes. In addition to the original 3 there's at least 4 more new heroes; Col. Stars, Lt. Stripes, Night B*tch, and Doctor Gravity.

Yeah I've never really thought to check in on this either. I loved the first one, it was a good piece. I'm not sure what I think of the new cast though. Is that Hit Girl picture the new costume?

Yes it is, you have to figure that she is a few years older now so it would be natural for her to have a new costume, kids at that age grow like weeds so she would have long since outgrown her original costume. On the bright side, it gives Hit Girl costumers a new costume to work on.

I had not heard there was a kick ass 2 on the way until i read this!! looking forward to it if its as good as the original!

Can't wait to see this, anybody know where I could commision a Hit-girl2 body suit in leather? I'd love to do this as a family costume for our very 1st convention (hopefully comicon 2013)

Wow, Kick-ass took some muscles since the last movie :D Anyway, looking forward to see this, hope it will be as enjoyable as the first !

As i have a costume of Kick Ass and my daughter has a Hit Girl costume, i have been following latest news/twitter reviews of Kick Ass 2 'Ballls to the Wall', We here Kick Ass forms a team of friends to make a new set of wanna be superheroes called the Justice Forever Team, comprising of Colonel Stars starring (Jim Carrey), we see Dr. Gravity (Donald Faison) also a few other crime fighters Battle Guy, Insect Man, Night B!tch, Husband and wife team Remembering Tommy.

KICK-ASS 2: First Look At Donald Faison As Dr. Gravity, Battle-Guy, & Aaron Johnson As Kick-Ass

Although Kick Ass remains the same with his costume we do see radical changes to Hit Girl's Mindy Macready Chloe (Grace Moretz) costume now at the age of 15yrs old she dons a Ducate motorbike in her Favorite colours.

The battle between Hit Girl and Mother Russia should be an epic all time great fight.

Big Daddy,
Wondering if you have a pattern for Night B**** yet?

Sorry, I didn't see this post before, I did a quick one out of paper, but I haven't gotten any further since there isn't much reference material yet, and I've been spending most of my "free" time doing a fan-film with my daughter and building my Big Daddy armor. :D I'll start a thread and post a link here when I get NB started for my wife (she gets her own fan-film too ;) )

Hay Riceball, just found your thread.
I quickly knocked out Colonel Stars and Stripes back in March with the intent to wear it to the opening.
It was going to be my first movie going in costume... until Jim started talking... now I'm getting lots of resistance so it may end up being an unworn closet queen.

Really? You are getting resistance from fellow costumers? :lol that's just...weird.

Not really weird, people are voting with money and are tired of having their rights trampled.

Seems I'm the weird one who defends peoples rights and then dresses up like the character, not the actor, ... as if I'm liberal, pro violence, anti-gun, ... whatever.

All I want to do is enjoy Millar's work, wear a costume, do some charity work, and entertain movies goers with the permission of the local theater.
With all the fall out and bad publicity I'd hate to have a someone think I'm pro-Jim since people who know me are already up in arms.

The weird part is that people would assume because you dress as a character you also are supportive of the actor's personal views, especially people that already know you personally. I'm building Big Daddy armor, will people assume I support Nick Cage's personal views? (whatever they are ;) ) Are people dressing as Vader supporting JEJ or David Prowes's personal views? Of course not, thats just an emotional response to an issue that for some trumps everything else. If somebody hassles you just stay in character and handle it the way the Colonel (not Jim) would. ;) :lol
I find several Hollywood actor's personal views to be completely off-the-wall, but I still enjoy their ability to play a character.
People's rights "being trampled" (or an individual's perception that its happening) has nothing to do with Jim Carry or any other actor, vote at the ballot box, not at the box office.
If there is a need to discuss the topic Jim is upset about lets start a new thread in the OT, I really don't want to see this movie thread locked because of thinly veiled political commentary.

Since Carrey is protesting his own work, dressing up as the character he refuses to promote seems like a good way to protest his protest to me. "You won't stand behind this character, but I will" sort of thing.

Great idea, keep your eye on the bottle or Yeah, there's a dog on your balls.

But Yes, you and I are in the same boat about performances and such.
I just feel that instead of returning to the US somehow my last international flight dumped me in Bizarro upside down world.

Do hope to see your Big Daddy for the movie.

I'll let it rest after this but for a good laugh I was asked, "Why is a Canadian playing and American superhero?" :facepalm

Edit: Excellent point Shendorion. A double negative. Thanks
