Ki-Adi-Mundi

After I'm finished Bib Fortuna and General Thade, I was considering giving this costume a go.

This would involve a lifecast of myself and a klean klay sculpt.

Anyone out there ever seen one being done?

I know that there are four guys in the Rebel Legion who has done it, so far. I could not find any info on how they made the head, though.

Btw, something that I once noticed with this costume. In many pics there looks like there is something red peeking out in the front of his robe/vest. It took me a while before I found a picture that showed what it was: He is wearing a pouch on a shoulder strap underneath his robe ... The strap and pouch are in a reddish brown leather, and it is the strap that is seen. :)

Rubies made a small amount of Ki-Adi Mundi masks. They're nearly impossible to find these days. I've seen one in person. Aside from the facial hair being terrible, the sculpt itself is actually not too bad. It looks like most, if not all of those RL people used the Rubies mask.

What became my Obi-Wan costume was originally going to be a Ki Adi costume. I managed to obtain a Rubie's mask at a good price, and it had been sitting on the shelf at Ruby's ever since Episode I, I believe, certainly no sooner than EpII.
I did not care for the condition, even tho it had never been used- the glue on all the hair had discolored badly, and while I had it on a wig head (styrofoam) awaiting inspiration on how to deal with the glue issues, I noticed that the latex was breaking down- the entire mask was MELTING right on the stand, at a normal-to-cool room temperature, and out of sunlight. So, all I have left now is the foam pad from the top of the mask to give the skull shape- if anyone wants it, you can have it for shipping cost, just shoot me a PM on it.

I met a fellow a few years back that had made a nice one. The mask was fully sculpted and cast in latex I believe. Here's a couple shots.

lol the pic with the group shot the stormtrooper on the viewing left hand side brings one line from episode 4 to mind...."Aren`t you a little short to be a stormtrooper?"

Never seen one in person.
But looking forward to seeing yours!!
If its anything as good as your other builds this should be a good un!!
