Got the news from MR, Kermit should be shipping if he has not already in 48 hours.

Sweet news. I just hope he looks as good as his proto pics. I've considered buying a second and convert him to a working hand puppet. I don't think it would be that difficult. :)

Well, the good news is I just found out that my kermit has been shipped and will be at my door tomorow.

The bad news is I won't be there.

Going up to the Mountains for the weekend.

Just for everybodys info the shipping weight is 30 pounds. :eek

Is it just me or does anybody thing they are stufing Kermit with lead?

I don't want to be a "poo poo" for the thread, but I have held off ordering and I'll tell you why.

I saw a production model at San Diego Comic Con. I didn't like the way his face looked. The nose was too rounded for my tastes. He had more fraggle than frog going on stylistically.

That having been said, I saw a prototype in person at the shop where it was made. It was dead-nuts accurate and quite a lovely piece of work.

I sincerely hope that the one that comes to you is a more faithful execution of the pattern than the one I saw at SD. It would be nice to know that the hard work that went into the prototype was adhered to.

Yeah I heard about that.

What are the people over on Muppet Centrel saying about him?

I may be wrong, though I pray I'm not.........but I've been told you can reshape the face to be pretty darned close to the Muppet Show Kermit we all know and love. I'll photograph pics when mine arrives at the end of the month. :)

Nobodies got him yet, but they were pretty optimisttic on the last Prototype.

Just got back from Muppet Central, Man Gonzo looks GREAT....

Maybe it's best that I am away for the weekend as I have no Camera, digital that is and I still remember the flack, good natured as it was for not being able to post pics when MR came out with the Trek TOS Communicator, Phaser, and tricorder. :p

He'll be in purple tux when done.
I'm so getting Gonzo too.

Lynn

I'm in for Gonzo too.

I will still be surfing the boards, thank god for laptops so hopefully somebody will get theirs friday and post some pics.

I really wish they would've done Fozzy as their second puppet as I would buy both him and Kermit (when depreciation and price dropping kicks in of course ;) ) to make a sort of "Best Friends Forever" display. Other than those two, Statler & Waldorf and the Swedish Chef would be on my "must have" list. Gonzo does look great though.

LOVE the Gonzo.
I'm down for one, if at the very least because he looks great, but also to facilitate getting Animal into production ;)

From what I am hearing you better get on the boat before it sails or else you are going to be paying higher prices on the bay if you are lucky.
