This is just so awesome! I love seeing parents and kids costuming together. I'm just getting started on my 2 year old daughter's Judge Anderson costume to go along with my Dredd. Your build definitely inspired me to go further with it than I would have otherwise, so I wanted to come on here and say that you rock!

Very cute! And I know it is a lot of work! I have seen pics around the net from the con before I saw it here. I built a mini pred a few years ago and had the same experience, crowds gathered everywhere you went.. (if you could actually get anywhere) I also had an MP3 player and mini speaker in the back piece playing Pred noises, but it was hard to hear inside the con.

Kid builds are one of my favorites. They have their own challenges. I am watching Stormtrooperguys's mini Dredd build on FB. Can't wait to see it come together. Very nice job again!

Wow everyone!  Thank you for all the complements!  You honor me greatly, and I am very pleased to know I have inspired many young hunter suits.
I am very happy that the suit came out the way it did.  I learned a little that will help in Kayla's next costume... Leafman Commander Ronin from Epic... Kayla has a thing for armor (got it from her mommy)

Anyhoo, starting the Combi stick tonight so with a little luck I'll have something to post this coming week.  I'm also going to try my hand at sculpting some mini skulls for her necklace out of oven bake clay.  We'll see how it goes.

It has been terribly hot this whole week so I haven't got much done with the final three details. I did however work on her skull necklace.

Finished the Combi stick. the base is a simple wooden dowel with craft foam blades and leather detailing.

We also had a photoshoot of the girls yesterday. Here is a sneak peek. I'll post pictures as soon as I get them.

And the moments he captured proves his skill with not only the environment, but the subject as well. Hal, thank you for your reply! your little girl was the one I saw. that costume was epic! My fiance and I have been cracking up about it a couple of days and my friends love it too! You have me optimistic about my costume build. I am from Redlands, Ca. but currently living in Mexicali, BC Mexico. My lady is ready to help me. she is good at crafts and when I told her what I wanted to do, she is on board especially after seeing your little girl. She told me about how the children are in Mexicali during Halloween. not only do I want to shock them but their parents as well; also, when I cross the border to head back to California for my Halloween parties, my friends are going to go nuts!
