Jurassic Park 32nd Anniversary

Did anyone see how Ariana Richards put out this little reel reenacting the jello scene?
Can't believe a week already went by....too fast...

Anyways, I added a comment on it showing the little screening we had in the yard.
As of now, a week later, got 359 likes with a ton of comments of people saying how awesome it was that we did that.
Some saying that its a really good idea and they might get the whole screen, projector and whole setup.
You can do it on a budget, but its still going to cost up towards $1000, maybe less if you go with a bit smaller screen and cheaper speakers.

I was reading how the giant animatronic T-rex lost a tooth during the breakout scene when going into the top of the car.
I've also read in the past that the glass breaking wasn't intentionally done.
So I was just watching frame by frame.
While I didn't see if break off, and maybe I was looking in the wrong part of area, I could see the aftermath.
Heres before.

And now missing. Guess the World movies still kept it mssing.

I also noticed, when it first breaks the glass, you can see the rubber skin shake quite a bit, but, maybe a real Trex's would as well....
In the 2nd time it puts its face in the car, I noticed its rubber skin actually ripped on the edge of the broken car window. Oops....

Nice!

I was curious if there would be a 30th Anniversary post here on the RPF. Orlando got all the good stuff this year haha. We only got some merch and the Citywalk Universal Store in Hollywood got some cheap vinyl stickers. It was all bogus.

I've been posting pics of our collections and archives up on our Facebook Page just to do something for the 30th. This whole month is considered "Jurassic June" month in the JP community. The only think in Hollywood thats any good is the Icons of Darkness movie prop collection. The owner bought alot of the Stan Winston pieces when they were going up for auction. They have the Roberta showroom head, which was also used in the promotional material (Posters) for The Lost World.

She's alot larger in person then she seems in this photo. I took a ton of photos as I'm in the middle of painting my own SWS 1:1 Rex head for our organization and museum.
;)

Growing up in Orlando got to experience a ton, but coming up on 5 years (this September) I moved to Idaho with all the rest of my family.
Pretty much nothing Jurassic Park going on around here....expect my my place anyways.
I just ordered the 1/32 scale (I think it was) diecast Ford Explorer from JP. Can't wait for it to get here any day.

Little late, just was a busy day with things....but the 11th, which should be yesterday (or more) for most everyone, was now the 31st anniversary for Jurassic Park.
Does NOT feel like a whole year since we watched it out in the front yard.

I also am hoping to be able to do another Trunk of Treat this Halloween...if it works out and I do, was totally thinking of a Jurassic Park theme. Already got some ideas.

I probably posted this somewhere else...but just remembered again, that last September when I got my tonsils removed and could only eat soft food, totally had to reenact this part.

Raptors in the hospital.

Dude you look like your dad! You really have done an amazing job documenting you and your family through out the years

I seriously enjoy your threads like this

The other night I was at my girlfriends house trying to find something to watch, she doesn’t have cable but has a ton of streaming apps

I forgot what app I was on and I scrolled by the first film and said “ah, one of my favorites” she never saw it. So we sat down and watched

Couldn’t believe she has seen all the new ones with Chris Pratt and never the original…

Dennis is by far my favorite character in the first film.. second up is Muldoon

While watching with her I pointed out the stage lights when the rexy flips the explorer. Am I missing something in this photo? I can’t see a mic

I don’t want to high jack Michaels thread but do you guys mind posting some errors like the stage lights so I can show her?

I also showed her the hand that holds the raptor in the door way to the kitchen lol

The mic booms I was referring to the are the ones seen in the trailer, where Neill and Dern are talking to Attenborough :p
What did she think of the film?

I was trying to point out all the bloopers like the fence that just ends, the stage lights, the hand on the raptor tail

Love this movie

Anything Jurassic Park is perfectly fine here....and how many other threads always get off topic anyways....
Speaking of which, there is a photo of my Dad at 17 when he had just joined the Navy. Me around that age looks SO much like him, its scary....except I had long hair.

There were plenty of errors, like all films have.
One thing I noticed a long time ago, is after both Explorers go through the gate and the doors close, between the doors, you can see an arm reach out, probably making sure they stay closed.

Another similar type thing, is here in the kitchen. After they run around the corner, this soup spoon (whatever its called) falls. If you watch the tiny gap here, you can see something move in the shadows and knock it down.
Still up there as one of the greatest films ever made, and surely still fun to watch all these years later.

Also speaking of Dennis, always found it funny how with his action figure, his arms would pop off. One of the many stop-motions I had made back in 1998. You can totally see my friends copy of Chrono Trigger in the SNES behind him.

With all those stop-motions (which I've probably posted before), but a good 80%, or close to it, were using the Jurassic Park figures. Always a good reason to repost something.

Star Wars always gets tons of threads/posts for things, so always nice to see some Jurassic park stuff as well.
And any behind the scenes stuff I've never seen is always fun to find.

32nd Anniversary of Jurassic Park…

That’s an unexpected point of recognition. I thought we really only recognized milestones like the “20th anniversary…25th anniversary…40th…50th…” and so on…

Are we now celebrating anniversaries annually?

Started here as just the 30th, but it's an easy change in the title....and its Jurassic Park, so yes, ever year now.
Maybe not 35. Who cares about 35.
