Hey Guys, Just wondering if someone could give me a hand with this map. I have two screen-caps from the YouTube scene to help. Thanks.

I looks like its printed on Tracing Paper - which is OK but you have to leave it dry overnight before doing anything to it and you "must" age it prior to printing.

I've done various maps and paper props similar to this and have never had a problem printing them as long as you don't touch the ink when its printed and put it somewhere to dry it can also curl up so you have to weight the corners while drying i just use a couple of coins for this (x4 2p) in my case .

hope this is some help

Here's my two cents - Recalling the beginning of the movie there's a code when deciphered refer's to three books: Robert Louis Stevenson's- Treasure Island, Johnathan Swift's - Gulliver's Travels and Jules Verne's - The Mysterious Island.

When the protaganist's open the books there are maps of the story. When the maps are torn out and placed on top of each other thay make a complete map of the Mysterious Island and it's location....

In real life the three books do have a map (I've "googled" them)....now all it takes is some "know how" and tracing paper to make your map!!! I apologize I am not quite good with the "know how"....

Hopefully this will direct your course to an astounding paper prop!

I tried that and the ones I found do not match up. And those particular copies of the books that they used are very hard to get hold of.

EDIT: That Treasure Island map is not matching up well. It seems we either get someone decent at Photoshop (Not me certainly, I am still learning it) to clean up the photos or find the exact books that were used and, after tracking down these copies (I think they are the first editions) and probably spending some money on them, we tear out the pages to make a simple paper prop.

EDIT2: After that ramble, I found a picture from the credits. it matches up the three parts. I have printed it and I shall attempt to recreate the basic shape. In the meantime, I hope someone can clean up those pictures to make a digital version to compare with my drawn one.

Brigandia,

GREAT those I have also downloaded....I have been looking at the DVD with pause and slow motion and I am thinking to my self that the "Gulliver's Travels" maybe "contrived" or made to look like it was from "Gulliver's Travels" but was slightly altered to correctly fit the puzzle....Looks like I maybe looking at the movie again!!!!!!

I believe all the maps used in the movie were redone for the purpose of making one final map. The Ile Lincoln map is a redraw of the original book version.

You may need to take some artistic license with the Gulliver's Travels map.

Good Luck,
