Joker's Hat in Mass Effect 2

Hey guys, one more thread from me.

I'm looking to get a run of the below pictured hat made but got a quote from a company that makes custom hats saying that they wouldn't be able to produce it due to it being in the game Mass Effect 2.

Regardless, I was hoping you guys might be have some info, or even just the ability to help me get this run on the road :)

It's incredibly stupid of Bioware to sell hats that are SR2 hats, yet they look totally different to this. What were they thinking?

I'm hoping that there's someone here that'll be able to help me get these going :)

Or at least point me in the right direction. I don't know where to start. Emailed 3 companies that make custom hats, 1 of 3 has gotten back to me, and I don't suppose the other two are going to as it's been over two weeks.
 
Same, I really wish more props from this game were created. I keep wanting to start something until I realize I have no skill, or work area, haha.

My team has plans to produce all of the gear/armor/weapons from this. We just need people who can do the fabric work, we can do the plastic/foam..etc work.
As we get work thats worth showing, you'll get to see pieces as they come. We're currently playing with the N7 breather helmet design and going from concept to physical piece.

Regardless, more to come on that note later. Look to my threads to see the pieces.

another thought I had is that you can have someone make the hat without the letters. Then take it to someone who will put the lettering on. Most the time are not done by the same person. Did you try that yet?

I'm still waiting to hear back from my friend. He's someone from my fire fighting days so I will have to catch him on his day off. It's 24 on 48 off rotations. He might be working a double and that could throw me off on catching him. Might take me a few days to catch him.

It'd be easy to use that method on a couple of hats, I'm hoping to do a run of more than just a few, even potentially having an ongoing run. Something that'd go with the rest of the gear we plan to make. I don't mind waiting the extra time. I appreciate you taking the time to get in touch with your buddy.
 
TheFifthSparrow, I will definitely try and keep an eye out for your threads! This game is easily the game i want the most props from, just so much great stuff. Any thought on doing some of the alien armor? Salarian, or Turian, or Krogan, all so great, haha.
 
The costume design in this game is amazing. Samara's justicar armor and Thane's jacket were my favorite.

Talked with my ball cap guy and right now he can not take on any more projects. I was thinking to get by the problems you had is to get the ball cap made without the letters on it. Then take it to another place to have the letters put on. You should have better shot of getting it made.

I'm wondering how much that would drive up the production costs. I'll do some research on it tonight.

The thing that put me off the official Bioware stuff was the embroidered Bioware logo - makes it look less like a prop. I did get the N7 hoodie, though... no company logos on it. Love it.
