I did a search and couldn't find much on the Joker's walkie talkie and remote control from the end of the 1989 Batman movie. Is there any more info out there?
First, the remote. It certainly could have been made from scratch - the builders on that movie made a ton of custom props! However, the remote has some hallmarks of a found item: for example, there is what seems to be a lanyard loop on the side, and a ring of holes on the back in the manner of speaker sound vents, and recessed screw holes. If it IS based on a found item, I'd guess the giant antenna was added after the fact.
