Joker Hexagonal Fabric Interest

I've never used Illustrator, but I'd be willing to give it a shot if someone wanted to "loan" me a copy.

Although if anyone knows anything about vector images, would an EPS or PDF image work? Cause I can still have everything available in seperate layers, and it never asked if I wanted to rasterize anything.

Ok guys...I think it is time to start tackling a big part of this run...getting everyone's order. Just pm me with the exact amount of fabric you need. NO FRACTIONS OF A YARD!!! If you need 3 1/2 yds...you order 4yds...I really need to get a solid (no longer rough) estimate of what I'm looking at. I need a set in stone amount to give these people so I can get a good solid price quote. My initial estimates were around 400 yds...but I think that has gone up a tad...just do this asap! THANKS!

is the option of a completed shirt no longer available?

how many yards would it roughly take to make one shirt?

Any idea at all what it may cost? ... even vaugley?

I definately want in on this but cant make any kind of solid commitment until I know whether or not I can even afford it... :(

Same here. I've heard a lot of ridiculously high prices for custom printing jobs and such...Is there even a ballpark estimate?

Ya guys, I know that your order might change with the price, but I REALLY need a good estimate. It will suck if I have to disappoint people by getting a cheap quote for x amount of fabric...then I tell the printers later we need a lot less and the price per yard doubles.

The prices can be ridiculous, but we are all hoping that with an order of over 450yds......we can get a reasonable deal. By telling me how much you need, you are not commiting to that number...I just want an estimate.

well how much is needed to make a shirt and are we on our own as far as having shirts made? I know very little about these things and the answers to these questions will greatly impact my order...

Generally it takes around 3 yds to make a collared shirt with long sleeves. Depending on your size, I would get anywhere from 3-5 or 6yds. As of right now, I'm not planning on making a ton of shirts for everyone. Firstly, I'm a college student, and I'm very busy. Secondly, I know people get hot and bothered if it took a couple weeks to get their shirt. Lastly, you have to look at this from my perspective. I'm willing to offer the fabric at whatever price they give me because I love these communities. Now, if I go ahead and make the shirts, I couldn't charge you guys $300-400 a shirt...that would be crazy especially since you know the price of the fabric. I can, however, make some myself and sell them on ebay or wherever and get that price. I know it sounds like...whatever...but like I said, I'm a college kid and money is important right now. Anyways, you could bring it to a tailor and pay less than that.

No, thats totally understandable - I didnt know if you'd be the one making the shirts or the people making the fabrix or whatever. It should be easy enough to find someone locally who could do it. PM'd you about how many yards I will potentially want.

I sent you a pm as well. For the fabric, I would gladly pay $150 to $200 for enough fabric for two shirts. When you compare that to the $900 shirts on Ebay, it really is not so bad.Besides which, this pattern seems to be the best around so you are truly getting high-end material. All of us are waiting for that price quote so as soon as you know something, post it please!

Here is Version 3.0. It has also be updated on the TDH thread.

NOW THE MOMENT YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR.....I HAVE A PRICE QUOTE!!!! Que the music!!!! A little drum roll please...and here...we...GO! Hahah! Anyways, my rough estimate plus a couple dollars per yard for shipping is going to be about $34-$35 a yard...now, I'm VERY satisfied with that price!!! It is also going to be on a 65-35 poly cotton blend! I'm going to call my sales rep tonight to go over the actual design and emphasize that it all must line up. I hope that doesn't jack up the price! NOW WE NEED THE FINAL DESIGN IN VECTOR!!! Enjoy my friends!

I'm afraid I'll have to bow out of this one. I really am impressed that you got it so much cheaper than the other existing replicas, but it's still outside my price range.

Dunno what I was really expecting, since it wasn't gonna be *cheap*...ah well, best of luck with the run!

yeah - thats gonna be that absolute MAX I will be able to pay, if that. And just enough for one shirt... lets hope it doesnt go up :(

WOW! Im totally in for that price! I pm'd you the yards I need, I might be getting more now! WOW!

Wow! It's still not a $900 shirt and that price quote is more than fair.I am certainly in for at least enough yardage for one shirt (3yards?) but will likely get enough for two.Great work.

That's a very respectable price.
I'd still be in for my 6 yards, if it stays at $35. Any higher, I'm going to have to cut my order down to 3 or 4 yards.
If we can do lower, of course, that'd be great. Keep us posted, and thanks for all your hard work.

Price sounds good to me. With that in mind, are you still looking to offer finished shirts with manufacturer's costs added?

Be seeing you,

Magnus Darcrider
