Hi all


I just got off of the phone with John and wanted to drop in and bump up this thread. As many of you know, he is dealing with a terminal illness in his family and has been away from his computer for while. He is concerned that he has not had any time (with everything going on) to box and ship out the most current Star Trek kit orders.


I wanted to put this thread here to help keep people in the loop. John said if he gets any time he will try to stop in and post. Those of you who know John, please send him your thoughts and prayers as he could really use them right now.

Hi guys-John Long here. First thank you for all of the well wishes I've received both
publicly, and privately. Also, for the patience of those who have ordered kits and
are experiencing a delay in shipment.

Yes, as Mike and a few other friends and customers have mentioned, I'm going
through a pretty tough time right now.

The short answer is that my Mom has brain cancer, and is not expected to be with
us much longer (though I pray for some divine intervention.) unfortunately everything
involved in this has kept me offline for awhile now.

Please know that those who have ordered Comm kits will receive them shortly-just
please bear with me a little longer. The thing about the Comm kits is that I have to
personally vacuum-form and trim the shells. Despite the fact that all of
the other parts are ready to go, no one can make the shells to my standards.

Also, I will not be offering them much longer-so if you want to get in on the last batch
I am making, now is the time-but again, a little patience will be required on you end, as I'm
dealing with Dr.'s. as well as trying to spend some time with my Mom before the end.

Regardless, we're not talking months, but probably a couple of weeks for the Comm kits.

As for the Hero Phaser One kits, those too I will not be offering very much longer.
That being said, the P1 kits are ready to ship-so, you can order those and you will receive them
relatively fast. In fact, for those who would like, I am willing to offer a couple of collector's
cases of six P1 kits at a discounted price to help me through the financial aspects of my
situation. I can do a few Collector's cases at $750.00 (including shipping,) but if you

That aside, I would like to once again thank all of you who have been so kind to me during
this crisis. You guys are the greatest.

sorry to hear about your mother, john...she was always so sweet to me when i called to chat. having lost both of my parents to illness, i know how emotional these times are.

BTW, for those who have asked me to do build-ups of either kit, please understand that at
present, it's simply not possible for me. However, "Phez" has my highest recommendation
to do so in my stead. I'm sure he would not mind if you were to contact him
regarding a build-up.

I talked to John a little while ago and he wanted me to pass on that he should be putting together and shipping the last of the kits later this week. These will apparently be the last Communicator kits that he will be making. If you want one I would order this week before the kit is retired.
