Johhny Depp makes suprise visit to school

He is very cool and approachable. Back in the day when he was doing 21 Jump Street, and filming at a local Middle School in Reisterstown MD, for John Waters "Cry Baby", he signed a ton of autographs for as you can imagine just about every student in the school. He must have been signing people's notebooks, jeans/shirts they were wearing for at least two-three hours. He never stopped until everyone got at least one autograph, and the whole time he was a class act, even made some jokes here and there.

When he was in the Uk doing Sleepy hollow a friend of mine was doing his PR and one night he had an argument with Vanessa. He called up my friend and asked if he could come over. She said what to my flat? Yeah! Half an hour later there was a knock and Jonny was at the door! They sat up drinking most of the night and she asked him if he was going back to his hotel. He said no, I'll sleep on the living room floor if it's ok. So he did and my friends daughter wkoe the next morning to find Jonny Depp sleeping on the floor! They had breakfast and he went back to filming. Cool.
Another friend of mine was a Gaffer on set and in-between shooting used to like a smoke of the green stuff. Anyway Jonny walked past one day and said who's smoking that? My friend owned up and Jonny said right youre with me for the rest of filming. At the end of the film he gave my mate his number and said whenever you ate in LA give me a call. My mate did go to LA and thought what the heck and gave him a call. Jonny picked him up took him round the city and put him in the VIP at the Viper rooms and treated him like a star!
Really down to earth and a straight up guy. I have another friend who got drunk with him and they were all playing the famous person name stuck on your forehead game, really funny.
Going back to the school story I heard something similar when he over heard a crew member saying his son was going to have a Pirates of the Carribean birthday party. He found out the address and turned up unexpected as Jack Sparrow.
If I ever get the chance to meet him I would have to tell him he's a sound bloke.
