Jodo Kast TEOD

About 3 or so years ago I started my second Jodo costume, Jodo Kast TEOD, and it never realy did go anywhere. :

I'm starting it up again, and making it an on going project. I can't decide on doing diffrent shoulder peices or not. I can't decide if I'll use the regular "Fett" design, or if I should draw up some templates for ones a little bit more diffrent. Like evrything in the comic, they change shape multiple times.

An to top them off, I might change the color of orange of it all. I found a "burnt orange" paint thats a bit more darker than the pumpkin orange my stuff is right now. So if I did that, the gauntlets wouldn't match in color. Which I wish weren't as weathered as much as they are anyway. I was like 13 or so when they were put together, and they actualy weren't even for this version of Jodo Kast. :wacko Unfortuantly, most the parts are epoxied on, so removing them is going to be hard if repainting took place. I would however realy like to add all the switches and metal parts now that I'm older. :lol

So there's a few things I need to deside, but right now, I'm going to just practice some painting methods for next time. I'm going to make this an ongoing project, I'll just collect a little bit at a time. I did however just receive these in the mail from Asok, TEOD Jodo Kast knees. :

There's still plenty to do, I need to buy/make :

Chest Diamond
Jetpack
Helmet
Parts for one more Grenade (JK3 gave me two of his )
Stun Collar
Holster
White striped Grenades
New shoulders
Cod peices
Back plate
One of the belt accessories
Ammo belt
Rifle
Jumpsuit
Flak vest

I know I can do the belt accessory, the shoulders, the holster grenade, the striped grenade, and the stun collar myself. The other peices I'll hafe to buy. I'm going to make the aprox. date of completion when ever SW Celebration 5 will be. I don't want to buy my soft goods stuff until the date/location is released though, because I'm afraid I'll be taller/trimmer. :lol

I just finished my first test of the layered method. :

Other than that, I think it came out preety good for my first attempt. (Well, second if you count the peice that got taken away by the wind, LOL.) I based the weathering marks on some of the marks seen in this pic. I'll obviously forego the "zig zags", I just wanted to see what they'd look like, and if they'd even work in a design like that. :

I think there might be just a little bit to much black, but I'm happy with it. Considering its a test peice. :p Cheers to anyone who read all that. :lol

Nice collection, I've found one of the most fun things about him is the utility belt. Being detail-oriented really helps :)
