Jessica Rabbit life size sculpture

I made this model of Jessica Rabbit for a friend who owns a local sports bar. It is full size and is made primarily with papier mache over a highly modified store mannequin. I had to beef up most of the body and legs as she must have been size zero. I had to cut the thing in two to re-shape her tiny waist.

Thanks Gothic for the kind comment and for taking the time to reply, much appreciated.
I've got some more pics but you will see it doesn't stand very close scrutiny as the papier mache surface is a bit rough in places. Meant to be viewed from a short distance and the lighting used in the bar sort of disguises it.

thanks for the extra pics still looks good, i work a lot with paper mache mainly Halloween props and pumpkins and i know its hard to get fine detail but you obviously spent a lot of time and effort in the conversion and it deserves a :thumbsup

Cheers Gothic. It's nice to hear from a fellow worker of papier mache who knows the pain we go through to get smooth results. I used Sculptamold rather than plain common garden papier mache but it is essentially the same thing. I mix mine with a 50:50 of water and PVA glue and it makes it much stronger but harder to sand. My fingerprints are only now growing back!

I think I may have another reason to visit Scotland (and this bar) someday other than it being my heritage. :cheers(y)thumbsup

I heard yesterday that some punters have been thrown out for getting a bit too frisky with my Jessica. Drink and broads are a wicked combination.

Very cool project and subject! See what you mean about close scrutiny, but as you described, in its intended environs it will be just fine.

Thanks PHArcavist. Yes it could be smoother but life's too short and if I was being paid more handsomly I might have made more effort. I also just finished another project around the same time and it involved loads of sanding too and I was really scunnered.
