Jawa blaster scratch build-First ever scratch build attempt

After taking some inspiration for you guys here I decided to try to build a Jawa blaster, which will eventually belong to a lifesize Jawa prop in my collecting room

So what started out as a scrap piece of pine ,some plumbing fittings and some small greeblies found around my garage has given me this.The first photos show the stock and the barrel and the rest show the finished piece. I know its not accurate, but I wanted to something a little different and that would go well with a Jawa prop. The trigger area was designed the way it is to enable me to give the lifesize prop a good mounting point around a finger making it more sturdy.So here goes, go easy chaps

Accurate or not it looks great, good paint job, looks metal and well used. I don't know a lot about this blaster/prop, haven't researched it but I would like to. It's the stungun the Jawa uses when he jumps out and zaps R2 right? Sometimes I think it's not always about accuracy, I'm going to make a Judge Dredd gun out of a nerf gun. It won't be accurate to anything in any of the films but I like the look of it, it's Dredd like, it will be my version. Nice work, let me know if you make a Jawa!

Big gutted that more of the old timers didnt chime in here. Its always good to hear views/opinions on things, but it just seems as though there is little interest anymore...

Not screen acurate, but who cares? It looks great, will be a cool prop, and you made it yourself. I love it. I am building a Dash Rendar costume, and there are so many variations of him (comics, cards, video game) that the inconsistencies are enough to drive you mad. I am going with what I think looks best. I think you did the same. Great job.

Agreed. The way I see it, we have no idea the range of blaster that Jawas have in their arsenal so who's to say a blaster like that is not sitting on their weapons rack. Looks like it would to me.

I agree Jawas are scavengers and could have any type of blaster

I like it! A shade more weathering and it will look awesome! Ive seen a few of these here and it makes me want to build one!
