*****************************

As some of you guys know, I built a Jawa Ion Cannon, based on a real vintage exhaust venturi and hydraulic coupling....WIP pictures are long gone since the PB incident :( here´s the blaster I am referring to:

Jawa_ion_pistol.jpg

I will be offering a multiple parts kit, so you can upgrade to your liking/ skills :)
Kit will contain:

- TWO part main body (Venturi tube AND hydraulic coupling)
- Shoulder stock with greeblies
- Y-shaped under barrel assembly with knurled knobs
- Trigger

Kit will NOT contain:
- Hardware (screws, threaded rod, washers/ spacers...)
- Timing pulley (a real, accurate METAL one can be purchased through ebay for about $5, so I don´t see no need to offer a resin one)f

I am offering 6 REAL vintage aircraft HYDRAULIC COUPLINGS as optional upgrades for the die-hard prop builder/ collector for $300 ea. (
used couplings usually sell for $500/ 600).
I can also offer a few parts through my shapeways shop, just in case people are interested in metal or would want ultra-detail plastic for their greeblies ;)

Price per kit is be $300 plus individual s&h ($250 without the resin coupling)
I wont take any money up front! Instead I will sell these kits, when they are ready and will contact the people on the list one by one with payment details and further information.

Due to the weight of the kit, intl. DHL parcel post costs:

38 Euro ($45) - fully insured AIRMAIL
52 Euro (62) - fully insured AIRMAIL priority

From my experience, it doesn´t make a big difference to have the kit shipped priority, since processing time is highly depending on the US customs Office

IMPORTANT:
I reserve to choose, who I will add to the interest list/ who I sell to!
If you are new members and/ or don´t have any valid reputation, I will decide individually If I am selling to you or not.
I have to take these measures to protect my work from recasters, which are WAY too common now.

Interest list:

- kurtyboy (with REAL coupling) - SHIPPED
- Lichtbringer (with REAL coupling) - SHIPPED
- El Toro - SHIPPED
- BACA breath - SHIPPED
- mbmcfarland (with REAL coupling) - SHIPPED
- ECOLI (subject to approval)
- (mugatu)

Very nice, this will be a beauty. :) The enfield one is my favorite. :) have you ever thought if making enfield grenade cups ;-) cnc would have been awsome :)

A accurate machined Enfield cup would be more expensive than buying a real one. At least if no shortcuts are made in accuracy.
Have seen real ones offered in shops for around 100-150, plus shipping.
Cheaper would be a casting only, or scratch built.

thanks for feedback. cant find any real ones to buy. Any tips would be appreciated on pm

One of my local gun shops had a few, about a year ago. I was actually carrying one around the store, cause I was gonna buy it, specifically to turn it into a live fire version of this gun. I wound up not buying for two reasons.
1. The more looked I looked at the stock, the more I saw how beautiful the wood was. I knew I wouldn't be able to cut it down. I still would've bought it but....
2. I was with a friend who was trying to make up his mind on one of three choices for a pistol. The longer he went back & forth, the more I got annoyed that he didn't go through this BEFORE going to the gun store. & then annoyance turned into "screw it, I'm not getting anything, I'm leaving"

Just finished the first half of the venturi mold (which is the last mold to do :cool)

Found and old bucket of SmoothOns PlastiPaste in my workshop, which was still useable after about 4 years and cured perfectly.
Will start on the second part of the mold upcoming weekend and create the "plug" for the funnel shapes section of the venturi last...this is going to be the most challenging mold I have done so far.

Pics to come.

Very nice indeed, I love your work
I can't have one as yet !!! ( but I really really want one ) :cryYou know what I'm saving up for, BUT if I get lucky on the lottery I will reconsider, good luck with your kit
