James Earl Jones RIP

My mom was a cable news junkie when I was a kid, so it may not be an exaggeration to say we heard his voice every single day thanks to the CNN bumpers. After my parents separated, it may also be true that I heard Jones' voice more often that that of my own father.

RIP to an absolute legend. Despite playing possibly the most iconic screen villain of all time, he always seemed so warm and genuine in interviews. Entertainment will be a lesser place without him.

Saw this on FB. Very awesome picture....but sad....only just a handful left.....

In 1996, while working for Bell Atlantic (Now Verizon) I was awarded their highest honor "The Spirit of Excellence" award and even better was that it was announced and given to me by no ther than the 'man' himself - James Earl Jones!!!!!
Rest in Peace, Mr. Jones. It was a pleasure to meet you. --Ed

I remember that many years ago I had a double plaque for the Sideshow life-size Vader bust signed by Dave Prowse and James Earl Jones, and the side with mr. Jones signature was fading. I sent the plaque to his address kindly asking him to resign it. He did it, and also included a signed photo separately, as a present, see this signed photo behind Vader's bust. This was Mr. Jones.

Great and timeless actor who could have gone on forever if his lifespan would have let him.
Rest in Peace, Mr.Jones. And thank you for your work.
