I just had a chance to peruse the December Playboy and they have a two-page spread of Bond memorabilia (replicas?) Some good pics.

I'll see what I can do when it arrives. :D

Why not.? ;)

I also saw a couple new coffee table books on Bond during my last visit to B&N (Dave, are you listening.?)...

Here ya' go, guys.
Some of the items are VERY wrong but I'm sure they were just going for representation and did a fine job of it....rest of the magazines not hard on the eyes either.
Had they gotten in touch with Mantis, myself or other Bond fans I know we could have put together a much better collection of props for them.

But Ed, if they had been in touch with you they would have had sixty pages of pics instead of just a spread....did I say spread? Oy....

Cutiehoney, if you like Bond there are some good threads in the Off Topic Section....

Thanks Mantis. Great pics of you and your wife.

I thought it was tri-fold. :love

Anyone got any pictures? I'm a Hustler man myself...

edit: Sorry just saw the pics.

BTW, the Faberge egg in the shot is available from Jewelry Box Direct (www.jewelryboxdirect.com). By chance, I was poking around on the net looking for a decent Octopussy prop (sort of an annual ritual ... so sad) when I spotted a reasonable facsimile on their site. I called and by chance, Playboy had just purchased the same egg for use in the spread. The egg isn't avialable in green just yet (Playboy painted their own) but will be in another 30 days or so. If interested, send them an eMail asking about the "Bond Egg" and they'll notify when ready.

Note: This is by no means a perfect replica. However, it's roughly the same size and pattern as the film prop and a great deal at around US$ 85. Over the years I've foud alot of others that haven't come this close everywhere from about US$ 50 to over US$ 1,500. It's missing the little coronation coach inside but those are available and if someone wanted to add a few crystals at every intersection of the lattice work, you'd have yourself a pretty accurate model.

The Palyboy Bond spread was very disappointing. Wasted my cash for nothing. But my husband enjoyed it.

WOW. You buy Playboy for your husband? You're a goddess..... ;)
