James Bond RN commander uniform

The cap was $70 and the uniform was $200, not bad, I thought, considering a real RN uniform can cost 2000 pounds because each one is hand made. Check out Replicaters.com.

Can you list exactly one needs to order from this site...looks like a lot of choices for the un-educated (me)...

I just took a chance and emailed the guy (named Sanjay), said I needed a RN uniform laced for commander. He answered me back in a day with the price and that he takes Paypal. I crossed my fingers, sent him the money with my measurements and 30 days later FedEx dropped it at my door.

so Dave, gonna get one? I have leftover ribbon if you do. :)

I was wondering how well Replicators matched your measurements. I have looked at their site off and on over the years. Although I do all my own sewing for historical uniform reproductions, they might be handy if they fit things right. Off the subject. If you're into any other RN uniforms, I have a couple of the summer white bush jacket uniforms to spare that are too big for me if they match your measurements. I think it's one of their better styles, I wish I could get away with wearing it during the summer at my Reserve drills. LOL

The uniform fits me perfectly. The circle in the braid could have been tighter, but Replicaters did a fantastic job for the price.

Does Bond actually wear FAA wings? I'm sure we've seen him flying things, but I'm not sure.

If you're going to wear that, you should at least learn a proper RN salute - they're different to most. And learn how to pronounce "lieutenant" properly.
