Jackieisrockin's Iron Man Mk 42 Pepakura Files! Back added to first post!

I have a question about the boots - I'm planning to build them with card stock and fibreglass but do I need to build it around a pair of sneakers, or can they be worn as they are? If you didn't use sneakers, did you line them with foam or anything? How do you work around the circular jet part in the heel? Looking at the model it looks like you wouldn't just be able to walk around in them.

Any tips would be appreciated!

Hi guys, i wanted to share my progress.
Its a Sintra an fibreglass build. In only need to fibreglass the cod and its ready for bondo.
I scaled these parte at 475. Hopefully they will fit. I am a 176cm tall guy, but the abs allready seem thight, although i have a normal build (73kg).

ps. this will be in the MK43 paint scheme!

Oooh theses are all so lovely. I was in the other foam thread. Wondering the same thing still, if there a hand/glove project that exists?

Any tips on scaling the bicep and shoulder? And wich file is best?
I scaled the helegak bicep the same as my abs and chest but it seem to small.
I first tried the complete arm file but that not really nicely symetrical. So i first made the forearm unfolded by gaitron! Perfect!

Now i need a nice bicep and shoulder. Any tips??

Are there files to build this in paper for the arms? Using a Google search for this thread all I was able to find was the foam ones. I'm trying to get this built for next Halloween after AOU comes out. Luckily they are reusing the mk42 for at least part of the movie.

I'm only 5'8'' and don't scale. I have problems with building like everyone else. If i need apiece or prop to fit I just mechanically draw out my own templates to fit what i'm doing. I have done scrap builds with 2 armors already. my advice is to "Just keep working at it. "Keep Building"...

some more updates on my MK43. Great files. The lower leg however is quit difficult.
I will be making my own Thread on my build. But that wil be online when i am a few steps further.
I think the chest and maybe the back will be primed this week.
Hope you guys enjoy it.

hi,

thanks for the compliment.
I work in Germany at a Signing company companie and ordered it from our supplier called Igepa.

No i actually didnt use a heat gun on this one.
Just make thin cuts on the outside an make blunt cuts on the inside. I used an dinner knife for valley folds. LOL.
But sure, if you use a normal blowdryer u can warm i up bend it. (i did that with the lowe leg.)

that looks awsome jay i no its gunna be amazing as your mk 7 was looking brilliant also were did you get the soft pvc from and i take it you used a heat gun to better help bend the material to shape it ?

Chest finally ready for paint! But i think i will first paint it together with more torso parts.
next step... The back!

Hey I live in Germany as well. I'm totally impressed by your craftsmanship! Is it hard to work with it? What's it called in German? Can I order in igepa as well? Maybe I'll make a helmet with it
