thanks still in cardstock will harden on monday had some issues with thin edges on the calf but managed to work around it

As an aside from the great modelling work being done in this thread, has ANYONE tried doing these files in paper yet and not foam? I'm much better at sculpting and sanding than foam work, but the files look EXTREMELY intricate for cardstock. Just wondering. I'm planning on building the Mark 42 in the next few months.

Mine is paper. Fiberglassed to boots, shins and part of the thighs this week.

ive done it in paper i cant find a foam supplier in south africa so i do it all in fiberglass and bodyfiller there are some intricate parts but they can always be fixed with filler

I just thought I would throw it out there obviously you wouldn't have to put out a disclaimer. It's just like a store in the town I live in, they only sell bullets and not guns so they don't have to be responsible when somebody shoots someone? I don't think too many people think about long term affects associated with the materials they use unless its printed directly on the side of it with a bid skull and crossbones or the big toxic T

Only Canada would try to hold the store responsible for someone using... Never mind, it's not even worth making fun of. LMAO

The upper 2 ab plates are articulated. They float on foam "springs" and sliding guides. The spine flexes and bends but doesn't slide. The sides bend but will only slide about half an inch each.

Okay, guys. I need some help real quick. I am trying to foam build just the MK 42 gauntlet right now, and I think the file was too big. Because I started adding parts together and the piece's width is enough to fit around my leg, not be snug on my arm. I'm 6'2", so what are the best numbers to scale this thing so I can try it again?

You'll want to measure your own body part then measure point to point in the 3d window on pepakura to make sure you are sizing the part correct.
This is how I do it because everyone is a little different with using one scale, say .95 fits me on my head and I'm 6' but someone else who is 6' might need a 1.00 scale.

Had a similar idea, though in my case I was also tweaking the model to follow some of the design lines in case any foam builders wanted it.
Any chance you're doing Igor too? If so, how about holding off until I finish my tweaks to be more like the film version.

To be honest my main project is to build all helmets first, and later possibly other armor and try to build a hall of armor: D

You know, you may have better luck with changing the Igor helmet than I am. Here's my attempt at getting it to match the film's shape.
