I've got the skills, but need some guidance

Ok.. First of all I just wanna say that y'all do some pretty awesome work and I browse through the forums daily! So I'd really love to do an Iron man foam build.. I've been researching the pep program and all that.. I'm confident in my ability to do the building, but the computer work is my weak point. I looked around to see if there was a thread for the pep process, but didn't find anything. I guess what would be helpful would be advice in where to start the entire project and maybe some advice on the best way to do things., materials to use , foam thickness etc. I'm sure this is basic stuff for most of you, sorry for the newbie questions, just looking for some new RPF friends and advice, thanks! :)

Well you don't need that much of any computer knowledge. All you need is the pepakura viewer (and maybe pepakura designer für scaling if the suit doesn't fit) and a printer.

You'll find yourself tons of already converted pepakura foam templates for all the Marks. And you'll find them in very different variations starting with low details (very good for beginners as myself) up to those with tons of details.

So all you need are those programs, the ability to open downloaded files by double clicking them and that's it :)

Thanks Guys I appreciate the help and advice. Once I get started I'm sure I'll have more questions, but I'll keep progress posted!

Thanks Kevin! After all the looking around I did for that, it was right in front of me. That's about right. :rolleyes

Trust me when I say, if that's the worst "didn't see it for being right in front of me" moment you end up having during your first build, you're already off to a great start. :D

Good luck and post pictures!
