It's coming! What are your plans for this Halloween?

Our band is playing a gig the Friday before Halloween, and we all dress up for it. I'm going "comfortable" and doing an Indy costume. Should be getting the shirt today in the mail and am expecting the hat, gun & holster at any time. :)

Party at my house. Should be a good one, 20-30 people not sure yet. My parties are costume only so no outfit no getting into the party.

I will be going as Robot Monster. You can see the creation of the outfit in the Costume section of the board.

We'll be going out as Joker and Harley over the weekend:

and I'll be doing Batman at my local comic shop for the trick-or-treaters:

WE do it VERY traditional. My wife and I carve spooky pumpkins, dress in a comfortable costume (in my case a Ghostbuster jumpsuit) and hand out heaps of tooth-rotting candy to the kids that show up at our doorstep.

We aren't much for parties.

I was thinking of dressing up as Frodo from the Lord of the Rings. Because I am short, and chubby, and am quite Hobbit-esque.

I dont know. I probably would need to find really good photos of Frodo's costume and his cloak and all that.

I guess I should do some research first.....:lol

For about the last 12 years, my buddies and I get together on halloween night and watch HOURS of simpsons halloween episodes. A good time is always had by all! This year, I will be wearing a Hermes/Vaderdarth Old Ben costume with a lgtsbr made belt! I'm way excited for that.

Handing out candy Halloween night in my new blue Belle peasant dress!
For our local church Trunk-or-Treat the weekend before, we're all going as Superheroes - I'll be Wonder Woman :)

And then we'll be volunteering at the zoo the weekend before that -- wearing Belle...

Unfortunately we probably won't be decorating at my house - we get no trick-or-treaters out her. I have to go to my aunt's house just to hand out candy, LOL.

I do a graveyard set up in my front yard for the entirety of October.

This pic was from two years ago, and its really changed very little since then. More/different tombstones to replace ones that were stolen/damaged from the previous year is pretty much what I do. The fence I made myself from wooden furring strips and PVC pipe and little plastic skulls for the top of the posts.

On Halloween itself, I run two fog machines in the yard, add spider webbing and the like.. all dependent on the weather, of course.

Halloween is very important to me. Its my Birthday, after all. :)

I know that for Halloween night and the next day I'm not working... possibly the whole week. That's as much as I've got so far.

Well, we don't celebrate Halloween here in OZ. However, we're doing a letter drop down our street to see if anyone's interested, we know there's quite a few kids in our street. We're going to provide a sticker or a fridge magnet (for those with metal letter boxes) with an H on it to put on their letter boxes if they're going to participate.

As for a display? OH BOY, do I have plans, but it will be movie themed rather than traditional. I really hope the street takes to the idea.

Cheers,

Kraig

well be putting on a superhero themed haunted house with a bunch of marvel characters to benefit a little girls surgery, and auctioning off one of our costumes.

Speed Racer! And the funny thing is that I work at the DMV and I'll be wearing it to work that day! :lol:lol

Building a crypt facade to go across the front of my garage, Using the security light to turn a black lamp on & off the light up Donna of the Dead.
Front yard will be the usual graveyard with ground breakers, ghouls, vampires and werewolves. Thinking about decorating the leafless tree at street side with vampire bats or spiders.
